Build your own electric motor! Educational & fun for students, science buffs and hobbyists. It spins fast! Exciting when you see it work.

Who Is It For?

This is an educational model for grown-ups who like to tinker or kids, ages 10 and up. Recommended for science buffs, people who enjoy electronics, robotics, physics, models and do-it-yourself enthusiasts. Building the kit is an educational and fun process. It’s not a simple snap-together model kit. Some light problem solving may be required. Perfection is not required, but patience might be. Small parts choking hazard – not for children under 8 years.

What Does it Do?

Well, it spins! But really, it inspires. It’s all about the process of building it. It’s about what you learn through the experience.

What Does It Include?

Illustrated assembly instructions (for every step), laser-cut wooden parts, copper wire, 2 magnets, 2 paper clips, a piece of copper sheet, 2 nails, steel magnet core, battery connector, sandpaper.

Each kit also includes an illustrated “How it Works” page that explains the fascinating science behind electric motors in layman’s terms.

The completed motor has a footprint of approximately 3.5 x 4 inches and is about 2.5 inches tall. Some tools are required: Scissors, glue, pliers.
